I talked to a friend just the other day
who’s got lots of opinions and plenty to say.
We discussed what we both like to see in a
His requirements and mine were different of
He likes a clean throatlatch and a long
and prefers that their hocks are set close to
Short backs and hard feet and clean slopin’
and a gaskin that looks like it swallered a
He like a short face and a big ol’ soft eye,
and says these are the horses he’s likely to

He asked my opinion, and where do I start?
And I said that I...just wanted horses with

The poem above is one of my favorites. It
was often told by the late great master
horseman Ray Hunt. Mr. Hunt was a truly
great horseman and a man with a lot of heart!
The Rising Heart Ranch horses have some of the best bloodlines all packed into well built, good minded, athletic, colorful horses. These
bloodlines include Two Eyed Jack, Boston Mack, Jessie James, Peppy San, Mr San Peppy, Otoe, Skipper's Lad, Doc's J Jay, and many
more! There is something for everyone in the pedigrees of these nice horses.
Rising Heart Ranch is a family owned and operated ranch in the scab land region of Eastern Washington. We raise quality registered
Quarter Horses on our ranch. By raising them on the ranch they are exposed to a wide range of experiences that most horses are not. They
travel through the sagebrush, scab rock, and drink in a creek. They are allowed to live their lives as horses without a lot of pampering. By
raising them in this manner they know how to handle themselves in most any kind of situation. We have hand picked the pedigrees and
temperament of the horses that we raise to ensure quality horses that will work for most any discipline.
Started out of necessity Rocky Ridge Tack was established in 2001. After not being able to find what we needed in town, and the nearest
saddle repair shop 50 miles away I learned the basics of leather work. Time and experience has now spread into a wide range of products
from nice plain working gear to fancy rhinestone blinged out bridles! There is something for everyone at Rocky Ridge Tack!
As time goes on there is hope for adding more products to the Rising Heart Ranch web site. So visit often as there are some great items in
